Fair FAQ
What are the dates of the fair this year?
The 2024 fair opens at 5 pm on Thursday September 12th and closes on Sunday night September 22nd at 10 pm.
No person under the age of 18 will be allowed admission without a parent at any time during the fair.
How much does it cost to get into the fair?
Admission - $10.00 ( 12 years thru 64 years)
Seniors - $5.00 (65 and older)
Youth - $ 5.00 (6 years thru 11 years)
Children (5 and Under ) Free with Paid Adult
Parking - Free

How much does it cost to ride the rides?
Monday through Friday unlimited ride bracelets are $25.00 per person plus admission.
While there is no discount this year for canned food items, we will be happy to collect and donate them!
Saturday 11am to 3pm unlimited ride bracelets are $30.00 per person plus the price of admission. This bracelet is good until close Saturday.
Saturday after 3pm unlimited ride bracelets are $35.00 per person plus the price of admission.
Sunday unlimited ride bracelets are $30.00 per person plus the price of admission.

Where is the fair?
We are located at 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville. There is a convenient link to Google Maps near the bottom of the home page!
Do Gwinnett County employees get a discount?
Unfortunately county employees do not get a discount. The Gwinnett County Fair is a privately owned non-profit organization and is not affiliated with Gwinnett County government.
Is there a discount for military, law enforcement and firefighters?
1. Military Exception
Active and retired members of the military will be admitted free of charge. They must have a current active or retired military ID and/or be in uniform.
2. Law Enforcement Exception
Law enforcement officers will be admitted free of charge. They must present a badge and ID to the ticket taker.
3. Public Safety Exception
Fire Department personnel will be admitted free of charge. They must present an official ID or be in uniform.

NO PERSON under the age of 18 will be permitted without a parent at any time during the fair.
What are the height requirements for the rides?
A child must be at least 30" tall to ride a ride. There are couple for that size. You can see the full list of requirements for all rides if you click on Fair Info and then Ride Height Requirements.
Do they let you ride in the rain?
Some rides must close when it rains for safety reasons. For example, the giant wheel will not run in heavy rain. All rides will close for lightning until the storm passes. Please check the weather before you buy unlimited ride passes. There are no rain checks.
Do you rent wheelchairs?
Yes! We have wheelchairs for rent at the main office near gate #1 and at the first aid center near gate #4. The cost is only $5.00 per day and we hold your drivers license until the wheelchair is returned.
Can parents ride with their kids for free?
Unfortunately not. Some rides allow a smaller child to ride if a parent accompanies them but all riders must pay. Check the "Ride Height Requirements" list under Fair Info to see which rides.
How many rides are there?
This year we have 53 rides. About half of them are kiddie rides. You can find a full list with height requirements under "Fair Info".
Can I bring my dog to the fair?
Pets are not allowed at the fair. Service Animals are allowed (except in the Livestock Barn). No animals are allowed in the barn unless they are participating in a show.
